Big Chicken is a fast-casual restaurant built on bold flavors, comfort food, and the unmistakable charm of its founder.
When Shaq’s team set out to add even more personality to the brand, I was brought in to create a mascot that captured the spirit of Big Chicken in a fun and recognizable way.

The Approach
We drew inspiration from classic animated characters, like Foghorn Leghorn, known for his Southern charm and bold presence.
Each gesture and expression was designed to reflect Shaq’s larger-than-life persona, while staying grounded in a visual language that could grow with the brand.
The character became a recognizable face of Big Chicken, appearing across apparel, packaging, and promotional products.
Apparel was used internally by staff and also available for sale to guests, turning the character into both a team symbol and a fan favorite.
An inflatable mascot continues to bring fun and visibility to various locations.
